A new film produced by the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, titled Quest for an HIV Vaccine, explores the negative impact of HIV/AIDS through the lens of people living in India, highlighting the need for better preventive measures, such as an AIDS vaccine, to end the epidemic. Filmed in Chennai, New Delhi, Pune and Mumbai, the film features interviews with community members, policy makers and AIDS researchers, including Dr. Suniti Solomon of YRG Care; Dr. V. D. Ramanathan of the Tuberculosis Research Centre; Dr. V. M. Katoch of the Indian Council of Medical Research and Indias Department of Health; Drs. Ramesh Paranjape, Sanjay Mehendale and Seema Sahay of the National AIDS Research Institute; Dr. N. K. Ganguly of the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute; and Dr. M. K. Bhan of Indias Department of Biotechnology.
