If I do eventually put a improved engine in I will consider a V8 conversion, but i'm not sure how the on-board electronics will like a Chevy V8.
I still have the short block that we pulled out, I may just put upgraded internals and high comp head on it.

If you can replace the capacitors in things before they die, they may not get the chance to damage down-stream electronic components. Once you replace the caps with good quality caps, (Rubicon or Nichicon), you're usually all good. Resistors can die also, but that's more rare.

@shades2 yeh I got mine just as it was becoming faulty and it came good, still is today.

Nice engine.
I had 2.0 in my e30 for one year..than i swaped in 2.8(for week) and finaly i got the same 3.5 and I am satisfied. For that money can't be better ;)

yeah I got a BM E30 323 that has a bad engine, I love the way we can fit the 3.5L engine to them :D
Very affordable and strong engines the M30's are!
