Jessica is 46 years of age. She is a single mother of four children between 21 and 27 years of age. She has a three-roomed house where she stays with her children, and she also looks after additional family members in her house. She eats three meals a day, and her greatest expense in a month is paying school fees for her children and feeding them.

Jessica sells second-hand clothes in the market. She works four days each week. She receives about 10 customers a day, and she does her business on retail basis. She pays rent for the place where she works. The challenges she normally faces in her business are the rainy seasons which disrupt her business and occasional thieves.

She has worked with MCDT for eight years, and she has received 16 loans from MCDT. She chose to work with MCDT because she wanted to get a loan to increase her business. She wants to continue increasing her stock so that she can improve the well-being of her family.
