@buckfastattiffanys I sure wish you didn't feel that way about it, but we do know it is not going to be everyone's cup of tea (and that we are very dorky!). We did our best with the video though worked very, very hard on it. And happily, most people in Libraryland seem to like it. Still, we're listening and will do all we can to make the next video even better.
No wonder the library "profession" is losing traction. This video is sad and somewhat disturbing, while reinforcing the low estimation of the profession among the public in general. As libraries lose their funding and librarians lose their jobs...they can express their gratitude to one of their own for this supposedly "fun" entry!
The video is aimed at library staff for the most part. It is designed to (hopefully) be fun and at the same time get folks to visit Library 101 Project Page, which has 20+ essays on Library 101 and an "RTK" page with hyperlinked Library 101 resource list.
