In partnership with the Squamish Nation and Vancouver Opera, Boca del Lupo mounted this free, outdoor production under the impressive foundational arches of the Burrard Street bridge in Vancouver, August 2007.
Written by James Fagan Tait, directed by Sherry J Yoon, designed by Jay Dodge and composed by Patrick Pennefather, Quasimodo combined medievil technology with imagery more at home in the Paris riots of 2006 than the that of Victor Hugos novel. A timeless tale revealing the best and worst of humanity as it relates to the prejudice of race, the subjective nature of beauty and the corruption of power.
