  • That is quite a nifty Turbo head Jack! I'm wondering how much extra one of these costs and does it slow down a lot when picking up that pile of grit?

  • @1334gordonsm652 The turbobrush in the video actually came with my Vax Mach Air Reach, but it costs £14.99 to buy as a separate part. However, the Vax Mach Zen Pet model, £199.99, includes it as standard. It copes well on carpet and fabrics which allow a lot of airflow.

  • sounds really quiet for a modern vac

  • @U5096 The quietness of the Mach Zen is one of it's biggest selling points - Vax claim 74dB, which is pretty quiet, especially for a cyclonic cleaner. For comparison, Samsung Silencio is 73dB, AEG-Electrolux UltraOne is 72dB, Numatic Henry is 70dB, AEG-Electrolux UltraSilencer is 68dB. An Oreck XL measures 93dB!

  • my vax power2pet upright vacuum turbobrush fits on my vax power midi cylinder vacuum cleaner!!!!!

  • @celesteraez Okay Thank You. Also, would you know if this vacuum has an American brand?

  • @MIBFreakPack it's called "soft start". it supposedly extends motor life by not forcing the motor to start right up to full speed instantly. all Miele and Sebo vacuums start up slowly. this also makes them very quiet.

  • How come this vacuum and the Meiele S7 take longer to start up?

  • @vintagehoover god almighty i didnt think an oreck was that loud!!!

  • @vintagehoover I've just bought a Mach Zen Pet, brand new with the six year guarantee for just £74.99. It does not come with the turbobrush you use in the video, but it does have a full sized turbobrush for carpets.

The tools let this cleaner down, especially the turbobrush which tends to slow down rather a lot in use. I would have liked to see a locking mechanism on the tools, a longer crevice tool and a better upholstery brush, but at least you can use most 32mm tools with this cleaner.
