President Barack Obama met with Haitian-born Governor General of Canada, Michaelle Jean for the first time

President Obama and Governor General Michaelle Jean had a private chat that lasted about a half-hour.

That's when the topic of Haiti came up. The Governor General told the president about her recent trip to the country in which she was born. She had some great things to say about Haitian Prime Minister Michelle Pierre-Louis.

President Obama extended an invitation to Gov. Gen. Michaelle Jean so they can discuss the callenting conditions facing Haiti and her people.
