Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can take place with or without hiatal hernia and can result in chronic irritation of the esophagus (chronic esophagitis) or Barrett esophagus with possible cancer. Till now the only way of fixing the problem was surgically with Nissen's fundoplication Toupet or Dor techniques. Now there is an endoscopic and less invasive technique with similar results and without the cuts that is called Esophyx TIF II with more than 4000 successful cases worldwide. We present the first case in our hospital the Kyanous Stavros of Athens Greece. This is the third part of the video.
