@yuancg its a lightening cut, make it possible to shot weaker ammo even do the slide is very long. without the cut the slide would be extremely heavy

You got that right, I sold my Sig P220 exactly because of that reason the grip design was not proper for fast shooting 45acp ammo..Good Job SA !
