Many handycapped people come out to make tandem skydives. Everything from the blind to quadraplegics, paraplegics and other forms of handycaps people suffer with daily. We will throw any one or any thing out of an airplane that we can get into one.

There was one on the news a few years back that was not only blind, but she brought her seeing eye dog with her. So it was the tandem instructor, her on his chest and the dog on her chest. Thing was, when they landed she discovered that she could now see from one eye. What ever was wrong in her optic nerve fixed itself most likely from the sudden change in pressure. At least that is what her doctors figure. I was kind of hoping it was here on YT but don't see it in a search.

hey mobiltec, do you know why blind people don't skydive?
it scares their dogs :D :D
How much does it cost to skydive? Also how many tandem jumps do you have to do before you can do it solo? Is there some kind of safety card you have to earn? I need to do that one of these days.

@davidsquall351 No tandems are required to learn to jump. Matter of fact they dont even count. 3 different ways to learn but they all end up costing you $1500 in the end. Then you have to buy gear to continue. $2500 for used up to $7000 for all new. Then it's $25 per jump from 12,500 feet above the ground.
A Tandem is around $200 to $250 including video.
