  • Although, the original melody was different it is not uncommon for hymns to have different melodies (I will sing the Wondorous Story) or to for them not to have one and then this is ascribed later through various revisions (Amazing Grace).

    I like this version as the tempo gradually increases and I think it would work well in some congregations but maybe not in more formal ones. I think Hwy has done an excellent job so well done and thanks for the blessing your version of this hymn brings.

  • Yeah, the original melody was drastically different from this. This is a good version but, not really meant for a worship session. It's hard to imagine what it would sound like within a congregation.
