i would watch it because it was the only good movie blockbuster had when i went on vacation as a kid, they didnt even know how they got it

Most people remember this game.
What not everyone remembers is that the Islanders had to overcome a 3-1 deficit just to get to this game (this was the first year the best of seven format was used in round 1).
IMHO, this was the final great moment for the 'Dynasty-era Isles.'

I saw images where there were kids who obviously fell asleep during it...
A writer from the Washington Post said, "Great, a missed deadline."
Thomas Boswell said it was the most excrutiating game he's covered at the Post.

The referee in that "Easter Epic" was Andy Van Hellemond, while the linesmen were John D'Amico and Ron Finn.
