Hello Sitar people! I'm just playing something
at a place in the pearl district in portland oregon called someday lounge. I don't know if it's classical, but it's something I like playing. Correct me if you know what it really is.
Don't care about posture, though. just criticize me on the sound, thank you. Privately.

  • For all those who think the sitar is out of tune, yes it is. It is not classically tuned, it's an alternate tune setting. it's CCC, GC1/8#CF, and GG#GCC#DEFGG#E

Tuned to play in the scale of E so that guitarists can play with me without getting bewildered from the scale.

  • My sitar isn't in a classical tune setting. I tune it like vilayat khan's style, except instead of 6 strings, I use the second string as a sympathetic to the 3rd. But I keep it slightly sharp so that the strings underneath will resonate with both sides.

This is my own tonic. Not to be confused with any other style.

  • your sitar i little out of tune.. though a very nice effort.. keep it up

  • Namaste, yaar!

  • Namaste!

  • I know this isn't rag bilival, sorry, now i don't have the original footage of all this, so I'm unable to really change the title in the video. Just gonna have to live with it. Sorry folks!
