Rebuilding Haiti - Light Ministries in Carrefour Haiti

This piece is a short version of a much longer documentary to come. Having just spent time there in person to shoot, interview, and live with the people - I would ask you to consider this truthful message.

Light Ministries (www.lightministriesinc.org) was the first and only source of help in Haiti's largest suburb - carrefour for the first weeks since the earthquake (nearly 800,000 people). Pastor Terry Nelson and his wife have lived in Haiti for 28 years and are deeply rooted in the people and their culture.

Because of this, the US Military was so impressed by their effectiveness in the field, that they are working directly with Light ministries to coordinate relief efforts and so much more... This is a chance to rebuild Haiti away from the corruption. More than half the population is under 20 years of age and it is ripe for change! They have a strong network and plan for, not only relief, but rebuilding Haiti to a solid civilization and have all the players in place- they just need the funds to keep flowing~
