just bought my first ouidad product. my curls have been flat and dry lately. all i use after deva-curl is coconut oil and jojoba. i think it's time to use something to set my curls and i never really liked deva-curl's styling products. trying out tress effects, i hope it works out! i've heard nothing but good things. but there are so many products, i'm not sure if i got the right one. hopefully, this is a good starter. never heard of the rake and shake method. i'm so excited to try this!!!

This method made my hair frizzy and puffy. Am I doing it wrong? Whenever I rake my hands through my hair it makes it puffy, and the gel didn't change that.
