I participated only because of Anand. I was sick throughout the tournament and it was amazing to finish in top and play simul with the great Champion!

Hail Anand!

  • i thought he didn't speak english, what's the main language over there? how come everyone is speaking english?

  • @rebelsouljaz A smart answer can be that we want the world to know what we are saying!

    The reality is...

    check - wikipedia /wiki/ Languages_of_India

There are 20+ languages(NOT dialects) spoken in various parts of the country. Hindi, the national language too doesn’t cover all of India and there are many people who don't know it, especially in South India.

  • check- wikipedia /wiki/States_and_territories_of_India

There are 30+ states and Union territories, many of them are demarcated based on linguistic regions.

-Anand comes from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His mother tongue is TAMIL and not Hindi.

-I am from Haryana in North India, and know nothing about TAMIL and only Hindi!

many Indians are well versed with English as their second language. so...

  • Congrats for a great game with Anand. Great video too - a pleasure to watch how kind he was in his analysis with you. A true champ!
