I made one of these after getting quoted more than $200 at a local pond store. You can easily build one of these yourself in about 30 minutes for less than $20.

Note: I've used a spillway exactly like this 24/7 for well over 2 years now. No leaks. No problems whatsoever.

Have fun!

Pond Details:

$20 Waterfall spill tank (made from office storage box)

  • A year later after your video helped me with making the fall, I now realize I used a smaller pump than I should have. What gph size pump did you use for your fall? Thanks.

  • I have been wanting to make a waterfall thanks.

  • Awesome idea...now I know what I"m doing this weekend. Thanks!

  • cute

  • @aly3739 I was just reading your comment about the fitting you are looking for. I found it at Lowes, but I found mine near the ABS fittings. I think most Lowes stores have the same configuration so I want to say it was one isle over from the pvc fittings. Some hold in the wall hardware stores have them as well.

  • Thanks! I really appreciate it!

  • i got the worlds cheepest way cover up ur filter for ur aquarium

(before u rage this is for aquarium use only)

get that thing for ur tank with the little holes and water comes out make sure thats coverd with idk (the covering is optional)put like a rock on the side of ur tank on the glass and make the sprayer thing shoot out on it (u dont need that thing u can do it with any filter but i like that 1 becuz it just rocks

(if u have that wall filter that drips down dont do anything to it)my choice

  • I went to Lowes this afternoon, found everything except for the 1-1/4 hose adapter. They have 1' . Do you or anybody know where to find it? It's hard to find. Not at home depot either. thanks

  • the making of the weir and the adhesive everything I see was top nitch but that milk crate will rust and leech toxins into your koi pond killing the fish off slowly i have seen it done. but like i said everything else top notch
