HP Laptop Screen Flickering

Problem: When opening or closing laptop the screen begins to flicker. Maybe a loose cable connection.

its not the monitor its the laptop inverter, its a common issue.

@originalmiramar bad inverter is a possible cause, but is not in my case.

Had the same problem. My warranty period was over 11 months ago. Luckily I bough it with my AMEX which doubles my warranty. Amex just credited me money for the whole laptop no questions asked. Ka-ching. Amex extended warranty rocks!!!! This is the 2nd HP laptop that has ended in death because of the screen. Neither HP laptops lasted for more than 2 years. I'll be shopping for a different brand this time.

thank you commenters, especially patchingswim and micnetsac3, i believe i fixed my flickering problem by;

-placing a small plastic material -like an outdated credit card, especially from the raised name or number area- into the small space between the left speaker and the left hinge of the monitor.

i placed this plastic material from the outside - monitor was in closed position- so that it is not possible for this plastic material to damage the screen..

Thanks everyone, I have just fixed screen flickering in my HP dv5t laptop... it was lcd cable issue due to hings. I have applied sellotape around that cable and it;s working fine..thnx

Cut up a credit card or similar plastic card into a small square and place it between the right hinge and the speakers!

@micnetsac3 Whoever you are i love you, i had it worse than the guy in the video, i couldn't even move my mouse around without having to move the screen every 5 seconds, just put a little bit of a gift card in the left panel and it hasn't flicked since, Thank you1

@originalmiramar no this is noy an inverter issue since the laptop is almost brand new
