  • I actually remember this show & this particular song. I had never heard of the Collins Kids before and would never hear of them again until 2008. This show aired right after school started for 8th grade, my 2nd year in junior high. This brings back memories of returning after the summer & seeing my friends & even some of my teachers again. Do you have the "Shindig!" show from Oct 7, 1965? One of the guests was a pre-Monkees David (sic) Jones. I had to miss that show and would love to see it now.

  • I have all Shindig shows and I'm planning to post all of them.

You have an amazing memory :) After all these years you still remember any particular episodes and dates :)

  • Oct. 7, 1965, I got into some typical teenage argument with my mother over getting started on doing my homework. She then shouted at me, "No television for you tonight!" Oh, no, not on "Shindig!'s" night! No amount of quarreling would get her to back down. I had looked forward to that particular show. I wanted to know how Evie Sands' first name was pronounced. And I had a classmate named David Jones; although a common name, I looked forward to seeing a singer with the same name as a classmate.

  • Just looked at the Shindig track-list from Oct 7, 1965. The Kinks, Evie Sands, Dee Dee Sharp, Charlie Rich and the regulars - Bobby Sherman, Billy Preston, The Shindogs. But no David Jones.

  • better than having to look at that sour mug.

  • Sorry to say, I think they lost there appeal after they grew up! Should have stuck with Rock a billy!

  • A cheesy moment for the Collins Kids. They are much better doing their rockabilly stuff.

  • too entertaining

  • Very cool.

  • Lorrie Collins as Ricky Nelson's first girlfriend. She did appear on Ozzie and Harriet as Ricky's girlfriend.

  • wow they should have stayed in the rock wein

  • @kittyprydekissme Pretty much :) Especially the Knife and Rockabilly

  • @Shoknifeman I'm surprised to see you here. Do you like all the same music I do?

  • @kittyprydekissme yes, its them... I think she first dyed her hair in the early 60s (And still does).... it doesn't suit her in the least!
