Riding a friends Triumph 1050 Speed Triple up a mountain pass road. Ten minutes later I'm avoiding gravel on a tight bend leaving me no option than to crash into an oncoming car head on. Everyone was ok in the car and were more worried about my health. I was not traveling fast thankfully.
My leathers and body armor has saved my life and my loving family and friends have saved my soul, thank you!
I will be back on the road and back to motorcycling that's for sure but I've learnt a lesson and it will make me more the wiser when I'm back on the open road.

  • @Chuckles9350 Hey man, yeah you're better off than I as I'm still undergoing therapy:-( Still got to have the metal cage removed from my back this year! It was just one of those situations that caught me out after 27yrs of accident free biking. Thanks to me my friend has a new Triumph so at least someone had a good outcome! Thanks for your wishes man:-) L2R

  • @sanud Thank you my friend for the wishes:-) It was a close call but not my time. Never had bad dreams from this either. I have learnt from this for sure! Catch up soon friend:-)

  • @SuperCarMania We watch videos on YouTube make a comment then a Sub and you become YouTube friends and most of the time your never know about these people but when something bad happens you will never hear of it and that's why I posted my crash diary. Thank you for the wishes it means a lot :-)

  • @RoadcraftNottingham Yes, that was my idea for others to see what a bike accident can involve. Some may never see this side of pain and I don't wish this upon any biker. What gets me angry is when people try to put me off biking stating how dangerous this is, but life is a risk as you can be taking anytime anyplace doing anything! No risk no fun

  • @fafaforza you're right! LQL I like your comment and it's so true:-)

  • @theNLridersWife Thank you for you're kind words:-) I haven't seen you're friends crash maybe send the link to my comments or just do a respond with the video. I am a lucky boy I know but I was wearing a dainese leather suit full with body armour. Just to give you an idea how tough the knee protector was look at the blue car as the damage was mostly from my knee not the bike:-)

  • Dang, five weeks in the hospital. I'm off the bike for five weeks total and it's killing me! (and it's the middle of winter, not even great riding weather!) I couldn't imagine going through this. Glad you made it out with a chance to get back up and back in the saddle.

  • ahh..my friend, been few months we never contact each other, I never thinkin' something bad happened to you. get well soon my friend! get well soon!!

  • Hope you have full recovery! Get well!

  • That's frightening! You're so lucky to be alive. This is a great video to make people step back and think "Wow, this could happen any time" and just take stock. I broke my knee into 8 pieces years ago so sympathise with the pain too. Thanks for posting.

  • You misuse "you're," but at least you're consistent and use it incorrectly every time. :P
