Series of 4 videos for parents seeking information about Oppositional Defiant Disorder. My daughter had ODD and I developed a behavior modification program designed to "reprogram" her thought process.

  • As a trained psychologist, I am absolutely amazed at the videos and what you have done with your daughter. You are an amazing mother and an example of how dedication, discipline and perseverance can get you to accomplish ANYTHING. Congratulations!

  • @mnori002 = Thank you

  • How old is your daughter now and is her behavior better? How long did it take to get her ODD under control with your reward program? Has her ODD behavior ever come back? I'm just curious, since I'm a parent of an ODD child. Thanks!!

She's 14 now, and no ODD. The system you see in front of you (these video's) reprogrammed her thought process. She's just a regular teenager now. It took 18 months of CONSISTENTLY using this program to "re-program" her thought processes. Not easy, but not impossible either. One of the main reasons I created the program was because I could not fathom having a teenager with ODD. A 7 year old with ODD was bad enough.

  • Did you fine her over every meltdown or tantrum? What if she had a tantrum over something serious? Suppose she was teased at school and she had a fit about it when she came home, a pet died, or a favorite toy got lost or broken. All children have a right to blow off some steam without being penalized for it as long as they don't do anything abusive or destructive.

  • Im not sure why giving credits for whining is good or is it for not doing so? Not going to bed , stating up until midnight being late and tired in the morning are all situations I can relate to . When I see you cry it makes me cry as well remembering and still going through all of this ODD is overwhelming from whom I truly believe is a wonderful intelligent child, my daughter. She is nine and I do believe I have to do something now and agree that old fashioned discipline doesn't work .
