Here's my latest winter break holiday to the island of Boracay in the Philippines. My friends and I took the route from Manila to Boracay by bus, ferry, tricycle, motorboat, jeepney. It was quite a trip!
I hope you had a good holiday in Boracay and indeed you took the cheapest way to go there. For those who are not familiar with the route, there are bus terminals in Quezon City going to Batangas City Pier. I recommend JAM, ALPS, De LA ROSA with the signage Batangas Pier/Calabarzon. Don't deal with the fixers in getting ferry tickets because you have choices. If you want the 45 min. trip to calapan have the Supercat or the RS Express (they have a window in front of the terminal) or take the RORO.
