okay this is what i did and it worked for me, press start, go back to lobby and then just launch the campaign again on act 5 chapter 4 last check point. if it doesnt work go back to lobby and change the co-op mode to public. cheers, let me know if it works for you.

OK this was really weird. I was Dom and my friend was controlling the crane. I sniped everyone then i went on the crane and rolled right before the platform was at the ground and flew off the level. Then I ran around under the level wtf?

The solution:
Grab a second controller sign in under a different profile and control Dom until he was carried safely to the other side and completely off of the debri and onto solid ground. If you try to just move Dom onto the platform and then signout, once you return to the game, Dom is magically reset into his usual stuck position halfway up the screen. To make this, before you cross the gap have Dom snipe all the bad guys on the other side. and then use platform.
