  • ellioosko thanks man, !The name of the Song is Messerschmitt and the footage is from the 1968 movie "The Battle of Britain"

  • Blocking my Mates

  • In this 1968 movie depicting the story of the Battle of Britain. The film maker hired a fleet of about to be retired Spanish Airforce HA 1112-M1L fighters that were actually.

Messerschmitt 109 G frames married with the Rolls Royce Merlin.

Franco bought some frames and Jigs from the Germany during the war but couldn't find a stable engine for them until after the war when they contracted with RR in Britain.

These days they just computer generate shit, at least most of this movie was real flying.

  • This video and song never get old. I love it still! I got to see a 109 fly over the summer during the free fly days up in my state and wow, the plane is far more impressive in person than in a movie! I had this song in my head when she was flying overhead. :D

  • @projectgemini2010

    That's great! Thank you.

The plane is very Majestic indeed, it's cool that you got to see one.

They are rarer than Rocking Horse Shit.

The last one I saw was so very cool "Black 6" an original BF 109 G doing nearly 400 mph in England in the 90's along with Spitfires, Mustangs and a Lightening.

    The Daimler Benz sounded awesome.

  • @binkyboo72 - Ohhh lucky you getting to see one travelling that fast! Because this took place at an active civilian runway, they had to keep it below 250mph. You got to see a Lightning? Now I'm jealous! Over the summer I saw various warbirds fly: the Hurricane, the Russian Rata, the Fiesler Storch, plenty of P-51s, a Hellcat, Tigercat, and the B-25 kept making random guest appearances. The museum hosts a flying Fw-190, but we will never see it fly because of how rare it is.

  • @projectgemini2010

Oh Man, The Lightning nearly burned my eyelashes, It literally crashed in front of me and my nephew at Duxford at the east end of the field, he was rolling way too low, R.I.P Mr. Proudfoot. there were 12 Spitfires that day, all sorts, insane really.

I guess those thing were designed with a certain life expectancy.

  • @binkyboo72 mission tivi sion accomplished;-)

  • Well, I like the late G`s and the K-versions most.

  • Love this video. I love the Messerschmitt.

  • @rustybonner These are bf-109 airframes mated to a Rolls Royce engine. As close as you can get, really. After the war most Bf-109s were fitted with RR engines because they were much better than the DB engines.

  • Umm.........can someone please show me one Messerschmitt in this video. Just another bad movie with imposter planes. Next you'll be telling me the T-6's in the movie Tora, Tora, Tora where real Jap planes.

  • good video dude .but i have a question . what´s the name´s song ? and the film, what´s movie is it ?

    thanks a lot

  • Ah i understand this shit, that is the name of the track...lol!
