This was great! Is that a Beech In the background?

CLIPPED WING!!! AWESOME!!
-
@Danno57 I read through all the comments and your the only one to comment on the clipped wing. The most striking difference of all the marks. Done to enhance low altitude performance. And the P 40? The best American plane of the war to sport a sharks mouth. The worst? P 51. Never saw a P47 with a mouth but I have seen (fotos) of a P 38. Pretty cool.

@jurdao14785 No they didn't. There is no records of any losses against Japanese Zeroes. The Mustang was the pinnacle of prop warplane technology, it could outclimb, outdive and out gun any zero made. It never really saw any zero's in combat, not what you consider a zero. Mustangs made it to the pacific after they helped mop up the European skies. They were used for long range bomber escorts, and since it was the end, they didn't do it for long.

well your lucky cuss where ever youd see a spitfire indefinatly would be a war zone unless you lived in hawaii(after pearl harbor)

I did say 'basically', also they had a reshaped cowling.

SmiertSpionem not all Mk XVIs had bubble hoods.
-
Yeah the the Mk.1 is cute looking, but the IX is a bit more imposing with the long nose, and cannons.
-
@SmiertSpionem Ilike the MK IX most, but in terms of outline the MKI is the most beautiful to me. Like the short nose pretty much.
I miss those old planes, and I wasn't even born around that time.
