Bohol 2009: Suislide in Danao

Part of our visit to Danao, Bohol. This video shows a "ride" called Suislide where you cross two hills twice via zipline. The hilltops are around 200 metres above ground and about half a kilometre apart. Suislide is just one of the activities in Danao. Other activities include cave exploration, trekking, rock climbing/bouldering, etc.

The first part of the video shows the view of the two hilltops and the river below. I also state (in Filipino) my apprehension in going through with the activity because I'm afraid of heights. The second part shows me "committing suislide", after a bit of egging on from my companions. The third part is a recap of the place.

The picture at the side of the video shows me riding an ATV. That was taken during our tour of Chocolate Hills the previous day. I have no video of that part of our vacation but I plan to put together a slide show of still images.

wow.. i saw this in mabuhay magazine (PAL).. i kinda got curious... pano ba pumunta sa site? ilang minutes from main town ng bohol?

From Tagbilaran City (yung kung na saan ang airport), siguro 30-45 minutes. Hindi ko nga lang alam kung papano mag-commute papunta dun.

Pero sa pagkakaalam ko, mas-hit sa Bohol ang van/car for rent at wala naman akong masyadong napansin na pampasaherong sasakyan like jeepneys (sa labas ng city).

Hindi na din gaanong nakakatakot once umandar ka na. Yung anticipation lang talaga yung bad trip. Hehehe!

Hahaha! Nah, the steel cable is quite sturdy (I sort of inspected it, being scared and all). But in retrospect, I'm wondering what the helmet was for as it would pretty much be useless if I fell. Hahaha!
