1080p and 1080i are kinda the same, only picture display is different, not the resolution

I did my research and 1080i is the not the same as 720p. I'm sorry.

Ya but 1080p is 1920 x 1080 so how is 1080i the exact same resolution.

@detroit110 No, 1080i is 1920×1080 pixels, while 720p is 1280×720 pixels. The difference is how they display the picture. Progressive does all rows at the same time while interlaced alternates between rows.

Wow I didn't know the iPhone could play 1080p content if you go to Apples website it says onlt 720p. Anyways thanks for your app I love it.

As you said the iPhone scales down the 1080p content so maybe that is the reason but I think the main issue might be internet connections. Not very many people have a fast enough connection to stream 1080p and Apple have always made a point of instant playback.

@drummerkid1993 I think you are probably right, although I have streamed 1080p before on my desktop.
