@Nigelhorrick No they don't. He was arrested and did his time. He also has to live knowing that he killed a man, for the rest of his life. WANTING it to be on purpose doesn't make it so. I love the victims family who's hateful incendiary comments reek more of grandstanding than mourning.

I was in a police department in the Bay Area (won't say which) and I think this is disgusting. My dad was an MP (military policeman) and he thinks this is disgusting.
There's simply NO justification for what happened. None at all. He was immobilized, there was no reason for a gun to be drawn.
This officer derserves to be charged for his crime, he deserves to pay for it just like any other citizen who pulled a weapon out and wound up killing an innocent man would.
