Fiji scuba diving at Beqa Lagoon Resort - Feb 2010

Video taken with a Sony SR5 inside an Ikelite underwater housing. The best color was in less than 30 feet of water. The Beqa Lagoon Resort is a great place to go for a scuba diving vacation. We loved the private beach house buras and the locals were very friendly. I recorded the music from the local villagers who sang ALL the time.

Very nice! What's the water temperature then?

How was this place in regards to bringing children. My son, 15 loves to scuba dive but does not have open water certification . Can you just snorkle or would you want to only scuba dive and is the place family friendsly?

There were a couple of kids his age there but mostly adults. He is old enough to get certified so I highly recommend that because most of the diving was from a boat. There is diving available from the beach but the best stuff is at least 30 minutes out. The resort can ceritfy him in diving however you should get the classroom and pool work done at home and bring a referral form from your local dive instructor so that he can finish up his certificaton in the beautiful location.

Thanks so much. We are doing a scuba fun class and have as our goal to get him open waters certified this year. Do you know if they do any kind of yoga vacations there/ I am a certified instructor and have been leading workshops for over 10 years. I am looking now to do them in more exotic and beautiful locations, with a focus on bringing youth and having them enjoy both the yoga and the scuba.
