@r73Steve... Bless you darlin that was so touching what you said, this song always makes me tearful when i listen to it. It makes me think of my grandfather who passed away when i was a teenager and rarely visited him when he was alive.

My dad is slowly dying, i know it, but he doesnt talk to me and ive told him how much i love him and how much he means to me, but he doesnt speak to me because i am a failure and havent lived up to his expectations. It guts me and rips my heart out, and i cry myself to sleep so many nights. I dont know why he wont realise that i am part of him.

My Father lived in England I lived in Australia. I promised to visit with his two Grand kids, but
didn't know when and kept putting off.
I returned from work one day to the news, that my Dad was dead.
I dropped everything and returned home to comfort my Mother.
The saddest day of my life was when I visited the funeral parlour to see my Father in his coffin, I placed two photographs on his chest, his Grandson and his Granddaughter.
Don't put off visit him and tell him you love him.

EgefalikoEggramo, you are probably already quite the man. However: if you post a youtube video, especially with an awesome song such as this, i implore you to sync the lyrics with the song, it cannot be that difficult or can it?

I'm a grown ass man and this is the only song that literally makes me cry every time I listen to it. It's a very emotional song for me to listen to, because my father and I never had a good relationship between us. He was very mean and tried to make amends when he found out he had terminal cancer. I was 24 at the time my father died. I was in basic training when he succumbed to liver cancer. I never did get to tell him how I truly felt nor did I get to tell him that I loved him as a father.
Can't we go back to this age? The music was awesome. Nobody out there at the moment will ever get close.

@TheMiamimari Don't wait for the inevitable, you will regret it for the rest of your days. You owe it to yourself to get this sorted. Tell him what you have got to say and enjoy the time left together. Make it right this Christmas.
