@mcdrummonkey Yes it does. You have to change the shutter to the slowest speed until you get to bulb.

@tfortwins660 your err message is most likely from the lens. make sure the aperture is set to the smallest aperture i.e. f/22

Look into used ones but make sure to get the exif data on the images and see how many actuations are on the camera.

Its the photog not the camera. But if you want more then get more. Look into the D300s. The d200 with a battery grip is bigger and better. I shoot one of those for my weddings and i love it. You can shoot all day long without changing the batteries. I usually change them both once. I would look into getting a used d200, d300 or a new d300 or d300s. Those are perfect bodys and you will not out grow them unless you need to shoot video but the d300s shoots video.
