raised on this music remember dancing on momma and daddys feet, sitting in the hall at home with the old record player, i can still remember the labels and flip sides of most momma still has all those records gosh she must have 1000 or more. pawpaw had a gas station and a bar and she would get the records out the jukebox when new ones were put in. my sisters are not interested in the music so one day they will be mine all mine to enjoy on da bayou in lockport, la

Being from Canada, I'd never heard of swamp pop. I was on Evangeline racetrack site, came across a group that's going to be performing there. I like it! This guy does a helluva job, and obviously a favorite of lots of people. Great music! Thanks.

My dad went to school with van broussard and his brother back in the 50's and early 60's. I grew up listening to Van Broussard and still listen to him just about every day to this day.

He's my Uncle!

Absolutely love hearing this version. When I typed in the name, I got the Neil Diamond version. No comparison - this is the way this song should be done. I was born and raised in Cajun country and miss hearing this music. Living in the North, we don't hear this music - really, really, miss my Cajun home.

One of if not the best version of this song. Love the way Van performs it.

I grew up on Van Broussard. I catch him when I can at Moonlight Inn and Grace's.
