iPhone garage door opener using ScadaMobile and a TCP/IP Modbus Slave. I used a "brick" PLC, I'm going to look into a cheaper modbus device since none of the PLC is actually used, just the IP address and the output card.

  • Which plc is that?

  • Basically you can control anything with a wire, hmmm, ever think about making a iphone remote controlled car?

  • Yes do expand on it. uh help us out here man. where do we get a device and share some code with us man. I also want to set up a door status alert with push notification.

  • @mikeb172sp It starts around 200$

  • Cool stuff. How much would that PLC cost if you had to buy it?

  • you're ugly. :P

  • I see your garage door opener. It's a Lift-Master 1155, or 1255. Look online for the LiftMaster "66LM" wireless keypad. It mounds on the side of the jam, and then wireless sends a signal to the unit. the only thing is.... look on the back of your unit, and if you see a block of code switches, then the keypad will NOT work. But if you see a little white/yellow/grey/green button, then it will, let me know.
