This is a song I wrote and chose to play at the concert. This is the first concert we have done original songs at. A lot of people wanted to the words to this, so I'll post them below. (I promise not all of my songs are this dark! (: )

The distant echoes of screaming in the silence.
The highpitched sounds of sirens close to here.
The bellows of dogs, locked up in cages.
The cries of children, who haven't eaten in ages.

I lay here in the grass,
My eyes will shed a tear.
Listening to all the things I can hear.
Realizing some lives will end too fast,
Wondering how long the dark will last.

A man getting high under an over-pass,
The guy at the bar demands another glass,
A teenage girl with her razorblade,
A single mother who wonders "Can I make it another day?"
