The airfield is closed now isn't it? I was stationed there from 10/04 to 03/05 and it's fun to watch, I drove on the airfield in a BMW 525d :D
A shame what happened to Mendig. When I was there only 2 hangars where in use as they've already lost the CH53's and now it's over
It was the first airfield of the german army Heeresflieger
