  • Just now coming across this! Boston Blackie was my favorite show from early TV! Later I loved the 10 Dr. Loveless episodes of Wild Wild West. Read about Dr. Loveless in: The Big Life of a Little Man: Michael Dunn Remembered! (Google it!)

  • Oh, by the way, in a 1968 episode of "Bewitched", Aunt Clara makes a Boston Blackie reference - listing him among the Pilgrims she had Thanksgiving dinner with in 1621!

  • I wish I had a pencil-thin mustache, the Boston Blackie kind

A two-tone Ricky Ricardo jacket and an autographed picture of Andy Devine

Oh, I could be anyone I wanted to be

A suave Errol Flynn or the sheik of Araby

    If I only had a pencil-thin mustache

Then I could do some cruisin', too

Brylcreem, a little dab will do ya

I can do some cruisin', too!

Now that the parrothead (Jimmy Buffett) reference is out of the way, I've been looking for this for quite some time!

  • Howie Carrs favorite show

  • Have looked for the 50's TV Boston Blackie for twenty years. Thanks a million!
