what panic? there is no panic in him! even if there was... i've been in lots of competitions and never one. i kept learning new things from the judges and mastered them, but as the years went by, they kept taking it more seriously and i've always been panicing, hoping not to make one single mistake! my last competition, i messed up on nothing but my vibrato (my panic must've ruined it) and... yeah! it's hard not to panic!
technically i agree it's difficult to go beyond this, specially because it's a live performance and i certainly can't come even close to this but it's great
you play with a very well technique and clean. But there is something that blocks the performance to be perfect. You must play more relaxed, with no panic. Take more time when you play. And make a softly vibrato on octaves. 4,5 stars = 5 stars
With all due respect to this guy. He's got great technique but has no interpretive ability.

Given the technical demands made by this piece, this is about as well as anybody can possibly do in a live performance.
Any additional musical poetry would have to be accomplished via a change in the arrangement, not in the violinist.
