  • do you touch the ground?

  • @purefatdude2,

Maybe - chest first, no tummy or hips or thighs on floor.

Usually a folded up towel makes a good target to touch chest to.

  • I can do atleast 50 perfect sit-ups. but somehow when i do a push-up (around 3 of em) my lower back starts to hurt/sink in sorta. Any suggestions ?

  • @WWF4lyfe2010,

The back problems may have a lot to do with the sit ups - they're actually one of the things Dr. McGill found were a reliable way to rupture pig spinal discs in his research.

But, the sinking is that your core doesn't know it should be engaged. Try a push up walk out (inch worm). Look for my Primer Magazine warm up video on my channel. I demo it in there. And, do your push ups on an incline after the inch worms. Enough incline to be able to do them perfectly and progress

  • I can never breath when I squeeze my butt and abs, how do I do this while breathing?

  • @mattownsu1,

Its going breathing during your actual exercise - which might be 45-60s. Inhale, tighten up, lower, and a pursed exhale on the way up (a hiss like martial arts people).

  • itz like i lose all my balance and just fall flat on the floor, most of the people in our PE class have the same problem....we just learned how to do em a few days ago!!

  • @fznutmeg83,

That's usually a core stability issue: 1. before you do your push ups do some inch worms (look for my Primer Mag warm-up video on my channel, they're in there); 2. do your push ups on an incline until you can do them well on the floor

  • hey guys i can do like 60 sit ups and like only 3 push ups any advice on how to improve? :)

  • Anyone else see the related video by TheOnlyLuca, kind of wanted to see it, but knew that it's some gay non-related video and wanted to save a few seconds?

Yeah, I didn't think so pervs.

  • I do pushups just like you've shown, and during the Summer I was up to 100 each day. Yet, I've noticed that if I do very many pushups my wrists really start to hurt. Is this normal? Are there ways I can avoid the wrist pain?

  • @josefb20017 umm .. i thought i should close my legs while pushin up ... does that help ?? or i should only do it this way ??

  • come on i want to have a sex with the floor!!!!

  • so you don't keep your legs together? O.o wow thanks! :D

  • so do you keep your elbows tucked or let them go out? Because my push-ups aren't hurting I keep platoing.

  • I don't see how to not extend your elbow??

  • @Sploggez same

  • he was like no sex with the floor
