President Gordon B. Hinckley speaks of the growth of the Mormon Church since its restoration in 1830. Joseph Smith had prophesied, "I want to say to you before the Lord, that you know no more concerning the destinies of this Church and Kingdom than a babe upon its mother's lap. You don't comprehend it...It is only a little handful of Priesthood you see here tonight, but this Church will fill North and South America—it will fill the world."

Joseph Smith also wrote the Standard of Truth, which was, "Our missionaries are going forth to different nations, and in Germany, Palestine, New Holland, the East Indies, and other places, the standard of truth has been erected: no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing, persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done."

With 13 million members, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is now truly an international church, with more than half of the members outside the United States and Canada. It is growing to fill the world!

@snowsportsrule2112 That's the Washington D.C. Temple. It looks like a castle and a space ship and sits right next to the beltway. The story goes that when they first built the D.C. Temple, there were so many accidents on the freeway next to it that they had to turn down the lights on it -- it is so beautiful.
