When Apple came out with the MacBook Air, the PC industry was paying attention. Intel came up with the idea for comparable "Ultrabooks" that could compete with Apple in the portable computer market with laptops that could not only be lightweight, thin, portable, energy efficient, and quick, but affordable to boot. What's so ultra about that? Oh, right! Everything.

I'm looking more for the convertible tablet/ultrabook to take hold. Tablets with quad core processors with Windows 8 that will allow users to do more than VIEW content. My iPad is a HUGE disappointment when it comes to getting things done whereas an iPad AND a netbook/ultrabook is on the verge of overkill when it comes to my routine. The perfect niche would be a tablet with a capable, productive operating system in "ultrabook" mode. I think the two form factors need to converge.

I am VERY interested in them. Right now I have a desktop computer, a Notebook, a Tablet and a Smartphone. Tablets are great but you can't really work with them. So, I am waiting for: 11 Inch Ultrabook, with Windows 8, one day of battery and: a touchscreen! Like the Lenovo Yoga you saw at CES. Just fold it and you will have a Tablet (with Windows 8 Metro UI). Fold it back and you can do real work (with Desktop Windows).

@bharatkumargupta Im not saying it is. Im saying that it is on the same price range as the pro and on my case it was better to get the pro. Im on college studying Business (IT Managing focused) so for that it could be enough for the air, but since i work with computers daily and i wanted to get a Mac to improove my knowledge of different OS, i wanted a more capable computer. Im more scared to break the air then having to carry a couple extra pounds for the pro.
