  • being American myself..the one thing i see wrong about this is that these "good ol' boys" are taking part in photo ops and the such. smiling as if it was a prom they are going to. the is death and war. it should be treated as business and not personal. Being patriotic is one thing but knowing that you're about to wipe out the population of a city within hrs should make you reflect on the lives you are about to extinguish. the bomb was a necessary evil unfortunately.

  • @godoftr0lling Hey the people who were killed by the Atom bombs weren't soldiers. They were ordinary everyday civilians, not soldiers. They were not prepared for this, nor were they trained to survive or cope in the aftermath. Do you have any idea what they went through? In war you do not target the women and children which is exactly what this bomb did. I watched this documentary years ago and my perspective war is a brutal, but even war at it's most barbaric is more humane than the Atom bomb.

  • "I don't know what weapons World War III will be fought with, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." -Albert Einstein

  • @Shabonian why are you so quiet about the over 100 million natives ,Americans have killed it's more then ten times what dumbass hitler has killed . Do you think we forgot about that ,I guess you guys did ,we didn't .

  • @mattnashisgay War at it's most barbaric is the rape and ,murder of civillians or the slaughter of a defenseless city open a history book and you'll see warriors killing civillians didn't start with the atom bomb, two examples are the nazi extermination of 6 million jews by gas, starvation, and bullets. The japanese executing 1000 human beings at once in manchuria, so tell me which one is more humane.

  • @bwillda000 no nuclear weapon is necessary, if it was we would all be dead by now, but that dose not mean I don't see your point.as for the men's bliss none of them knew what that weapon could do, no one new the true capability of fallout. hopefully we can prevent WW3, WW3 will not be won only lost and WW4 will be fought with sticks and stones.

  • @mattnashisgay They trained and woman and children to fight, they r technically combatants. Do u have any ideal how the Japanese fight? They do everything to kill their enemy, and that includes mixing into innocent people while engaging the enemy. If u think this is not adjustable, why don't u go a head join the USMC and fight ur way into the Japanese mainland and hope they will hand their suicide bombs to u instead of blow u up with them.

  • @mattnashisgay I know it is easy to want to think of things as tragically romantic, but facts are facts. 15% of Hiroshima's population were military members, and more than 30% were directly helping the war effort. Up to 50% were working to help the war's industrial machine, and EVERYONE (including women and children) had started training for a ground attack that they thought was imminent. Hiroshima was a perfect target, even according to the Japanese survivors. Try not to romanticize.
