I have to solve for x using the square root method but i dont no if this is the same thing??? i have to solve for x in the equation: 1/3(x+4)^2 +4=-2 do i need to use another kind of square root method? and is there another kind?

@musicwithin43 Yes, you can solve this one by the square root method. It's more complicated than the ones shown in this video. Go to my channel and search my uploads for solving quadratic equations by the square root property. One of the videos shows equations of the type (ax+b)^2=k.

how do you know when to put the +/- sign in front of the squareroot answer??

@come12345678910 always put +/- in front of the square root, or break it into two separate answers, one that's the +sqrt and one that's the -sqrt
