  • Who else thinks that this version kicks Dylan's original's butt? This is the only version of this song I've ever liked.

  • Up till now Waylon Jennings' version was my favorite, now I'll never be able to hear it without hearing Jerry's runs in my head.

  • This is good, but Dylan's original Freewheelin' version is the best I've ever heard.

  • One of the best songs ever. Try listening to Peter Paul and Mary's version (live). I think you'll like it.

  • he took pickin' and made it a kind of jazz or is it gospel, blues or r&b country

  • got to love Jerry Reed he can take a good song and make it better ...... i call Jerry's music country funk or crunk

  • real talent not like the bullshit we call music today

  • @breakyournails I agree. Each one has its goodness. That is what makes music so magnetic and spiritual. It goes with the feeling of the artist. Sometimes life is upful sometimes its a downer...But Its Alright!

  • Tha bass ain't bad either

  • That's how it's done, son.

  • I still think Dylan's is better, only because I think it expresses more relatable emotion, but I really really like this one too. It is completely different, though, so it's hard to compare, I guess.

  • Been looking for this song forever! Thanks!!
