Jim Steinman - Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through

From Jim Steinman's 1981 album "Bad For Good" comes this 80's hit more recently re-recorded by Meatloaf. Jim produced the album and sung some of the tracks but this particular one (uncredited in the album) was sung by Rory Dodd.

There are plenty of versions of the Meatloaf edition but nary one of Steinman's, and those that I could find have a terrible audio track, so here it is my humble rework of the audio... hope it brings some memories. Enjoy!

I assumed that Steinman had a decent singing voice, but now I hear that he didn't even sing this song despite being credited - it was Rory Dodd. True?

I heard that Jim recorded this album because it was written in the wrong keys for Meat Loaf and Jim didn't want to change it, so he sang the songs himself. That Rory Dudd should sing on this song is new to me. But it is still a GREAT SONG!!!

I knew this song I hear it long ago and forgot, meatloaf bought it back to life and I forgot about the earlier version until right now, I just live the female backing vocals in it the most and the great lyrics too.

You can't run away forever, but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start........ My favorite lyrics in the whole song and its at the start :) thank god someone introduced me to Jim I preffer him to meat.
