i think she is a good coach, some of her comments are a bit harsh but she seems to get the balance between being nice and strict right :)

@AndromedaAiken No, it shouldn't be all praise. But you also should not be mentally abusive or cruel. You can push a person without resorting to those methods. In the rest of the documentary she is clearly acting in this manner, as are the other coaches.

@unickgodess I'm pretty sure the translation was not done in complete accuracy but you just have to watch the coach's body language to know that she was teasing Pitic and she really is fond of her girls. The fact that her coach knew how to calm Pitic down and help correct her meant that there's a good balance. Coaching can't all be praise and nothing otherwise the child doesn't know how to differentiate.

@beautifulsarah100 pitic is cute, but sooooooo needy for attention, she cannot stand a minute without being the star in the room- she can cry when needed and so on. A little more humble gymnast would learn more in early age.

Gymnastics training is harsh... But, helloo, is one of the hardest sports! The little girl was not abused... Or at least no more then any gymnast is in any country... The coaches have to be firm and harsh... That is their job... As a matter of fact, the little girl got hugs... My daughter gets no hugs and she trains in Australia, not Romania...

i found it really mean that the coach said you gained weight :O! she is building up muscles and shes growing !!! of cause she will never be really really tiny and without muscles if she needs to work soo hard !!! . i mean its okey to be strict but at one point it should be enough and there was no need to say that she gained weight ! unbelievable how some coaches treat the kids without respect !

I am American and I didn't see it as abuse, she was firm but she also praised her and hugged her as well....there has to be balance and she does a fair job of achieving. it.
