It was made in 1997, but the occupation is always the same. The story alone if you take time to read it is amazing. You'll really like the scenes where the Israelis say how to take care of the "problem". One American holds up a sign saying "transfer all the Arabs to Oklahoma where there's oil" Isn't that a good idea? One Israeli says "Take all the Arabs and put them in Arab countries and make one big Disneyland for them" One Israeli settler says, "As long as the Arabs are peaceful they can stay here". and more.
This film is EXCELLENT and I didn't see anything in it that would make it outdated except maybe some of the specific names. Realy, realy good. I don't know if PBS finally showed it but at the time of the article above they would not. It talks about the American attempt to censor the making too. You know it's good if so many "nice" people didn't want it to be seen at the time. It's really nice of the doc makers to let the IOF have their say on how fair things are (yeah right) and then show the atrocities. [Robin]

Israel has acted wif the utmost morality n at times when they fail 2 defend human rights, it's when circumstances forced them to do otherwise, and the media and international community always picks on those issues. On the other hand, if the other nations really cared for the Palestinian Refugee problem, they would either be absorbing them into their own country or offering both financial and "workable" humanitarian aid. It's Israel who gave humanitarian aid to civilians even n war. Unthinkable
You just don't understand what are you talking about. Read some history and dig deeper into why different small groups (rebels) fight governments (rulers) in first place. Here's a head start - because they are oppressed and ignored. Those people's needs and interests are NOT taken into account. And you know they don't demand power, money or anything that 21st century materialist would consider worth fighting for, but rather respect, a house, water, food and freedom.
some this is pure propoganda,,most countries do not allow thier military operations to be viewd on public tv..they leave that out?i am israeli and i know that the palestinians suffer and i dont agree with occupation at all...but to say or imply that we have no right to israel with in the borders of 67..well then i dont c how u help the cause at all?u hurt the palestinian cause by using propoganda
You realy need to make serious commitments to each other towards each other to gain enduring peace. But like all other conflicts in this world mostly aren't solved because there are several other interests buy different forces causing an ongoing row of hostile actions. For example take the hamas, hisbollah and on the other side some forces in the u.s. and other countries. Its a serious conflict and to achieve peace will take another maybe 30 years...
I don't see the point in this video, as GamZuLeToevah already said, when should this battle end who has the right to live where and why. Fact is their is Palestine and there is Israel nowadays. You cannot argue that one of these states must be moved anywhere. The only Problem remaining is that there are conflicts mostly caused by mistrust and extremists on both sides (some times even caused / supported by other states like egypt etc).
What "big stick" policy? Israel has acted very meekly in its 60 years of existence. That is why there is still a significant Arab population here. If we really had a big stick policy then maybe we would not have this Arab problem. We have been terrible in our policy with the Arabs, we let so many stay in our country.
There are worse countries to live in/be a citizen of then Israel. But your safety issues are overshadowed by incessant land grabbing. That's what you guys do best. You only care about yourselves because your people expect doom any second. I don't really know whether pissing everybody off is the right way to go. I bet the 3th nuke ever will be used by Israel. You are a scarred little people in a corner, which makes you quiet dangerous. I give Israel 50-100 years before the shit hits the fan.
