Yeah, I ended up buying the mk6. Couldn't be happier. It's a great car, and the sound insulation is great. I get to hear the engine of my car without having to hear everyone else's XD. Yeah, but i love that car. I got the silver model, but really wanted black. Ah, oh well lol.

@sciences8 Mine is mk5 45,000 miles and bought it since new in 2007. So far it's been a peach, no reliability issues. I took it to POconos mountain range in Pennsylvania with the twisty bends, it's mind-boggling. Btw beware of the speedo if u happen to buy one, i thought i was doing 80 but it turns out triple digit (and surely the mk6 has better sound insulation, that could be a sleeper too :)

Ah thanks great. I was mostly worried about the reliability (10/10 means you've had little to no problems with it, I assume?). I test drove one, and yeah, the acceleration is a little slow, but that seems to be the case with most German cars. A friend of mine has a BMW X3, takes forever to get up to speed on the highway, but once it does it can really punch it.

honestly its a great all around car..the only big problem (if you want to call it a problem) is that when you put your foot down, it just doesnt have that "UHMF'' factor.. if that makes any sense... lol but i would recommend this car anyday,great daily driver too.

Hey, sorry for bringing this up 5 months later, but how do you like your Mk6? It it a reliable/solid car? Is it responsive enough and does it have good control? :D

just got one of the first black mk6 coupes to arive in seattle area, i am lovin it, got it for 17,250, but it is bone stock, cant wait to tune it!!!!!!
