Somebody sent me this really great reenactment the other day. Now I can't find it, and I keep going through all these other reanimations like this one that SUCK!!!
@jerseycityjoe You couldn't be more wrong. The controller did his job by providing assistance to the pilot. There was no way he could know of the exact situation. I would love it that he was giving me runway suggestions, and Sully even commended him in his book. The controller did his job and did a fabulous job at it.
Way to jump to conclusions. That controller was doing an excellent job helping the pilot out with runway suggestions in case he could make it. He can't see the situation and can't tell they couldn't make it anyway.
