- IMPORTANT: All bosses have a nearly foolproof defense against Rush Cannon and in some cases the boss will fire your Rush Cannon back and kill you (Bright Man, Dust Man, Pharaoh Man). You need to know what you're doing before attempting it, or just use save states. Source of Rush Cannon Strategies: TheTrueSigma
- You regain half of whatever weapon energy you used in each weapon after dying, finishing a stage, or getting a weapon
- Use O Toad on Dust Man while he's inhaling to make him inhale toads for a lot of damage
- Once Rush Cannon is equipped (and you have weapon energy in it left) bosses will change what they're doing immediately (unless they're in the air in some cases) to go to on the defensive. This can be used to avoid damage
- Hell Wheel from Skull Man is the best weapon in the game (except for Rush). Get it as soon as possible
- HCR Boomerang appears on the opposite side of the screen when cast through the wall
- Press A or B on controller 2 to change weapons without pausing
- Press A and B on controller 2 at the same time to change back to Rock Buster
- Pharaoh Man, Dust Man, and Ring Man do not hurt you if you touch them
- If Dust Man inhales you and turns you into an R tank, mash the buttons as fast as you can and you will escape unharmed, otherwise you will die instantly
- Cast Rush Search then turn backwards so he'll dig up the power up in your direction. This technique enables you to use Rush Search successfully during the Serges Devil fight
- Don't forget to save Beat at the beginning of Skull Man's level. Beat is also in Wily 1
- You can walk through the skeletons after shooting them for a very short time
- If Skull Man is killed with his weakness, he drops a skull which currently curses Hell Wheel. Do not pick it up
- Slide to cancel Hell Wheel
- A flare of light with a ringing sound while damaging an enemy is a critical hit
- If a mini boss you defeat drops a weapon, rush as fast as you can to the goal before your weapon power runs out. This happens in Dive Man and Bright Man's stage to receive the wire and balloon respectively. Make sure you kill the mini boss on the right side of the screen. The balloon can also be found in Wily 1 and the wire can be found in Wily 2
- The wire does 30 damage per second against enemies with no invulnerability time and has infinite casts. It can be cast in 7 directions and makes you fall more slowly while casting
- You can hold Spark Manbow in front of you for a minuscule energy cost. Holding up while casting Spark Manbow freezes enemies and slows more powerful enemies for a short time. Useful against the miniboss in Dust Man's stage
- You can hold HCR Boomerang to keep it out. It also brings items to you
- You can shoot Water Cutter in all 8 directions
- Jumping before falling increases fall speed. Use this technique to avoid certain lasers in Ring Man's stage
- After Shadow Man destroys your balloon in Wily 1, you can use any weapon you want except for Rush weapons
- Any code that works with the Rockman 4 rom also works with Rockman 4 Minus Infinity
- Upload the Readme to Google Translate using automatic language detection to get a sort of engrish version
- The MMC3 version works with VirtuaNES and the MMC5 version works with FCEUX. If the ROM isn't loading just use the other emulator. More details are in the readme
