This was one of my favorite scenes from The Wire. It's says a lot about what The Wire's really about.
They're drug dealers and cops, good guys and bad guys (the job never dictated the morals of the character). however, when they kick back, they are driven by the same wants and needs. When they do this, outside of their working environment they become the same people. In fact they act almost like colleagues in this scene. telling us that we are all part of the same community whatever we do.
